here's a bit of unedited report of my friday:
in seminary yesterday we had to make a picture book in accordance to an assigned chapter from Alma. as a bit of motivation, brother seminary teacher promised a prize. the judge was his nine year old daughter at bedtime. as my group & i read our chapter, i found the chapter morbid & couldn't imagine making a good children's book out of it as of a) all i've to work with is a group of socially akward, white, mormon teenagers &  b) you just can't make it very children book like unless you turn all of the characters into llamas & c) that llama idea was already taken.
so i had the fantastic idea to make the picture book really morbid & creepy. no one in my group liked that idea, but they were to robotic to object. of course it was a bad idea, but what's worse is that i got so exited that i read it to the class. yikes.
it paid off when today we won the contest.

my roommate just made me a twitter page. don't ask me why i don't post for myself. i just don't.
